If you’re not experiencing a financial hardship but need a short-term break on a qualifying loan payment, Pelican’s Payment Relief (Skip-a-Pay) option may be a better fit. Pelican also offers free credit counseling at no cost to members, giving you access to a Nationally Certified Credit Counselor who can help you review your budget and create a plan for moving forward.

Hardship Extension Request

Once you submit your request, a Pelican team member will review your account and current loan situation. You can expect a response within 1–2 business days, and if approved, your loan term will be extended to provide the requested relief.
